The Public Lands For The People was constructed for the purpose of allowing
individuals and representatives from various groups to join forces to help maintain the laws and rights
of all Citizens on Public and Private lands. (Federal, State and City)
Our purpose is to represent all types of outdoor user groups that are interested in keeping
Public and Private lands open for the purpose of Mining, Timber, Grazing
and all forms of recreation on a non-discriminatory basis .
We will attempt to keep all informed of new rules, regulations and proposed changes
which will affect the use, or access of Public and Private Lands, prior to their implementation.
By this action, we hope that the voice of the People can and will be put into action
to prevent unnecessary closures and added restrictions which only impede the
Peoples right to use Public Lands for their enjoyment.
We will insure representation at public hearings of government agencies who are
proposing more and more limitation and restrictions on the lands that belong to the people.
WE WILL LITIGATE!
We will be prepared to file injunctions, when necessary, to prevent governmental agencies from
discussing public issues behind closed doors and calling them “personnel meetings”.
We will come to the aid of, and give individual attention to, persons or groups who are
being harassed, intimidated or mislead by people in authority (in or out of uniform)
who are attempting to enforce their own ideas or opinions of laws, rules or regulations, rather
than the actual laws, rules or regulations, and what it actually means.
We are here to help. Remember, PUBLIC LANDS FOR THE PEOPLE means....
our right to Use Public Lands, not to Abuse Public Lands.
Every day your right to enjoy the outdoors is being challenged by special interests.
I’ve put together a list of origination that are fighting for all of us.
Do something for your children’s future.

MISSION STATEMENT
Mountain States Legal Foundation, by seeking the proper application of the Constitution and interpretation of the law in the courts, administrative agencies, and other forums:
•Provides a strong and effective voice for freedom of enterprise, the rights of private property ownership, and the multiple use of federal and state resources.
•Champions the rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution in support of individual and business enterprises and against unwarranted government intrusion.
Pacific Legal Foundation is devoted to a vision of individual freedom, responsible government, and color-blind justice. Like America's founders, we believe that the blessings of liberty are beyond measure. And like them, we believe that each generation must defend those blessings against government encroachment. Everyday, PLF attorneys litigate to build a future of economic freedom and equal opportunity.
PLF's litigation focuses on three major projects: to defend the fundamental human right of private property; to promote sensible environmental policies that respect individual freedom and put people first; and to create a nation in which people are judged by the content of their character. In addition, PLF's Economic Liberty and Free Enterprise Projects are devoted to protecting the right to earn a living, and protect businesses against unfair burdens.
Funding For PLF
Pacific Legal Foundation is a tax exempt, nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation. Donations of cash, property, and securities are tax deductible; tax identification number 94-2197343. Our donors make it possible to continue our fight in the courts, as our work never ends.
To preserve our independence, PLF does not accept any government funding. Last year, we spent approximately $8.3 million defending individual liberties in courts of law and the court of public opinion. A charitable gift to PLF is an investment in liberty for your family and friends in the years to come. We take our mission and our supporters seriously, and strive to put our donor's money to the most effective use in protecting Americans' constitutional rights.
